Corneal Flap - Thin, circular section of the cornea created by the keratotomy.
DLK (Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis) - Widespread inflammation within the stromal section of the cornea.
Epithelium (Corneal Epithelium) - Outer layer of cells covering the cornea.
Keratitis - Corneal inflammation, characterized by loss of luster and transparency.
Keratotomy - The surgical creation of a hinged corneal flap.
Limbus - Transitional zone where the cornea joins the sclera.
Meibomian glands - Tiny oil glands within the eye lids that supply the tear film.
Sclera - The opaque, fibrous covering of the eye (”white of the eye”).
Striae - Wrinkles or folds.
